Uttarakhand is known as devbhoomi, or “land of the gods,” since it is home to several Hindu holy sites. Furthermore, Uttarakhand has been known as Devbhoomi throughout ancient times, and the state is currently known as Devbhoomi Uttarakhand in India. Devbhoomi Uttarakhand is also part of the Himalayan area.
